06/03/2009 - Pre-Season Evening Event

The cricket club is to hold a pre-season evening do.  The event is to be held at Mudeford Mens Club on Saturday 11th April.  The event is over 18's only  and is hoped that as many players and partners can attend.  The Mens club do a lot for the cricket club each year so would be nice to support the club.

16/02/2009 - Hampshire Cricket League AGM Rule Changes

Some major changes this year.  To summerize County Divison one is now 50 overs and 1 o'clock starts.  Bowlers can only bowl 10 overs per innings the rest is below.

Rule Changes passed at the 2009 AGM

Motion 1

Brings the playing conditions in County Division One into line with Southern Electric Premier League Division 3.

 1.1.   The number of overs per innings are increased from 48 to 50.  (The minimum number of overs that the second team must receive to have a completed match will remain at 25).

1.2.   The number of overs per bowler are reduced from 12 to 10.

1.3.   The start time of matches is changed from 1.30pm to 1pm.  (Matches would still commence at 1pm in August).

All the appropriate rules including rain interruptions will be amended.

Motion 3

The number of overs per bowler in all other divisions are reduced from 12 to 10.

Motion 5

A new ball is now required in each innings of a County Division 3 match.  This brings CD3 into line with CD1 & CD2.

Clubs with teams in CD3 should remember to order more cricket balls.

Motion 6

Result secretaries are struggling with incomplete and unreadable result sheets.  Rule 22.1 has been expanded to ensure that fines can be issued for poorly completed results sheets.

Motion 7

Rule 4.1 has been updated to ensure that all clubs understand the procedure involved in changing the venue of any home match.

Motion 8

Rule 17.8 has been updated to give the home club more time to make a claim for reasonable expenses against a club that has cancelled a fixture at short notice.

Motions 10 & 11

These motions clarified the rules under which the Womens Division play.

02/02/2009 - Adult Nets

The 4th Team have arranged two evening nets over Easter.  They have booked 1 net between 8 and 10 on Monday April 6th and Tuesday 21st April.  The nets are open to anyone but are aimed at the forth team members.  Costs will be £4 per session.
