Chairman's Report
Well, with the season just a few weeks away there have been a lot of changes to Mudeford Cricket Club in the last year, one being the retirement of our President, Bernie Tennant. His constant work over the years on and off the field and the respect the younger players have for him was evident at last year's presentation. It was lovely to hear their stories of the coaching he gave them during their early years within the game. The appreciation of the Cricket Club was shown in the presentation of a Bowls fleece jacket. Thank you Bernie, you will be missed.
We now welcome a new President in Paul Rogers, whom I work well with at Mudeford Men's Club. He has already put in motion many ways of raising funds for the Cricket Club and is keen to learn about MCC.
We had the comeback of "ouch my back, ouch my legs hurt" Richard Leyshon as a cricket player two year's ago, he now has taken over the job as Secretary. He also is making sure that Mudeford Cricket Club is moving in the right direction.
Rob Smith is the new Treasurer and is working well with Richard and Paul in thinking of ways to raise money.
I would like to wish you all the best for the coming season and hope the sun shines on us:
Regards
Laurie Wilkinson
